Cosmetic procedures

Cosmetic procedures and treatments are incredibly popular these days and the boom has caused new clinics, providers and private specialists to pop up all over the UK and the rest of the world.

Modern society has a casual attitude to cosmetic surgery, as it has become part and parcel of the landscape of modern times; nowadays, people can have minor treatments in their lunch break and an increasing number of people are choosing to have regular treatments, just as they have their hair and nails done.

Some cosmetic procedures are geared purely towards improving the physical appearance of a person; for example, having a face lift tightens the skin on the face and helps to reduce the visible signs of ageing and a nose job changes the shape and appearance of the nose, while others are aimed at people who want to get rid of problems they may have; laser hair removal and tattoo removal are two such treatments.

The treatments work in a similar way; by using intense laser beams, the skin is altered and the problem solved. Laser hair removal changes the shape of the follicles and gradually destroys them, preventing hair from growing in the future, while tattoo removal is achieved by breaking down the ink particles in the skin. Both treatments are extremely safe if carried out by a trained professional and there is no link between these treatments and infertility.
